You can delete your RealA account and associated data at any time. We respect your privacy and process requests promptly.

How to delete your account

The fastest way is in the RealA app:

Your account is removed immediately after you confirm.

We aim to process email requests within 7 business days.

Account deletion cannot be undone. Your data will be permanently removed from our systems according to the timelines below.

When you delete your RealA account, we permanently remove:

Account: Your email address and sign-in record for RealA
Profile: Display name, profile photo, bio, and other profile details you added
Onboarding / survey: Name, date of birth, and preferences you shared (e.g. gender, music, pace)
Discovery: Who you viewed, liked, or passed on
Activity: When you signed up and last used the app

In some cases, traces can persist briefly or in limited form:

Profile photos: Stored images sometimes need a quick manual check on our side. If you uploaded a profile photo, mention it in your email request so we can remove it.
Chat: Messages you sent may still appear in other people's chats for a time; we anonymize your identity in those threads where we can.
Backups: Some data may exist in automated backups for a limited period before full purge (see retention below).

After you request deletion:

Your account: Deleted as soon as you confirm in the app, or within about 7 days after we verify an email request.
Backups: Copies kept for disaster recovery may take up to 30 days to be fully cleared.
Complete removal: Within 30 days of your deletion request, we aim to remove associated data from our systems as described above.
